Sunday is the 1st Anniversary of the wedding of William and Catherine – and therefore the 1st Anniversary of our award winning Hornblower beer. Hornblower with created and launched specially to celebrate the Royal Wedding – originally planned as a one of brew, it’s been so popular with our customers that it has now become a regular seasonal brew that doesn’t last very long when it goes on the bar! We’ve actually brewed over 10,000 pints of Hornblower in the last year – most being sold over the bar at The Old Cannon, but also a few firkins were snapped up by local pubs who knew its reputation as a great beer!
Sunday also sees two great films at The Playhouse in Bury St Edmunds: Salmon fishing in the Yemen and Delicacy – if you are out and about in Bury on Sunday when not come and stay with us with our Eat, Play and Stay package. Sunday night B&B for two, with a free two course lunch for two (only £110).
Have a great week
Hannah and Garry
